Apprentices at The Focus Training Group in Heathfield, Bovey Tracey, discussed their experiences with Mel Stride MP this week as part of National Apprenticeship Week. The MP for Central Devon has long been an advocate of apprenticeships, having helped to significantly increase the number of young people embarking on apprenticeships while serving in the Business Department under David Cameron. During his visit Mr Stride also caught up with Group Operations Development Director Mark Down.

“We appreciate Mel continuing to fly the flag for apprenticeships. It was great for him to sit down with some of our apprentices and to discuss the range of courses we offer. These include a Level 2 Diploma in Care, as well as Plumbing and Electrical Apprenticeships. Anyone wanting more information can visit our website www.thefocustraininggroup.com or give our team a ring on 01626 832374.”

“As ever, I was really impressed with the set up at The Focus Training Group here in Heathfield. Apprenticeships will be a key part of our economic bounce back from the pandemic, ensuring that a generational of young people who have been disproportionately impacted during the last two years can gain the skills and qualifications they need to embark on successful careers.”
