Coronavirus

Dear Constituent,

Thank you for contacting me about the outbreak of the coronavirus.

We all need to be taking the medical advice from Public Health England and the NHS seriously, and to self-isolate if we are experiencing symptoms. Perfectly healthy people may find the symptoms to be very mild and feel able to resume their regular activities, but they might be spreading coronavirus to others who are most vulnerable, such as those with weaker immune systems and the elderly.

If you are experiencing symptoms then visit NHS 111 online at: https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19/ and only call 111 if you cannot get help online.

You should make regular checks on the government website for the latest information at: https://www.gov.uk/government/topical-events/coronavirus-covid-19-uk-government-response.

You may also want to check the Devon County Council updates here: https://www.devon.gov.uk/document/coronavirus-advice-in-devon/.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact me.

Yours sincerely,

Mel Stride MP

MP for Central Devon

Light at the end of the tunnel

We have recently hit some major achievements in vaccinating against the pandemic. Firstly, with the majority of over 80s, NHS workers and carers having had their first vaccine, we have moved onto the second phase of the rollout with over 75s beginning to be invited for their jabs.
